So what do you need to do to start researching topics?Start thinking! You are the expert and your topic will be your life in the paper. Think about all the things that you know about other people. Use the information you already have and apply it to your topic. Then, write an outline of your topic.Once you have a good outline in your head, write down all the ideas that come up in your head when writing your paper. Using those ideas as a base, write down the ideas that you think are best fit for your topic. The idea is to keep the ideas as fresh in your mind as possible. If you keep your paper looking good, it will also be fresh when you write it.Keep in mind that while writing a research paper for your class, there are going to be changes to your topics. What you may be able to get away with in the past may not be a good fit in the future. Take some time to plan and then re-plan your paper as time goes on. If your topic changes drastically, take some time to see if you can change some of the details before you write the entire paper. This way, you won't be tied up in changes during the course of the writing process. Now that you have a base to work from, you will want to begin writing. Writing a paper is a challenge that you should be able to handle. When you begin writing, keep your ideas fresh in your mind. Remember that when you have a list of ideas and not the actual outline, you can add and take away ideas from the list as you go along. For the first draft of your research paper, use a formula to keep track of what topics you are writing about and when you are writing about those topics. If you have the information ready, write about those topics and make notes about what you learned while doing so. After you finish writing, you should jot down the information you have taken in. For each of the topics you took in, put a date at the bottom of your research paper. After you complete your research paper, it's time to proofread your paper for grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. Make sure the paper flows well and that you didn't skip any sections that were important to your paper. As you are writing, jot down your notes as well as other ideas that might have come to you as you were working on your paper. There are many ways to research paper topics. Use the methods that you are comfortable with and you will be successful in creating a great research paper for your class.
